We know it takes a village to raise a child. Well the same goes for a food drive.

Once again, the Muskoka Oldtimers Fall Food Drive for Manna is indeed a huge success, thanks to all of YOU.

Three volunteers getting ready to head outKudos to the Muskoka Oldtimers for their long-standing hard work and loyalty. This is 27 years now that they have executed this huge community-wide undertaking!

Kudos to you for your contribution of non-perishable food! You make a positive difference in this community.

Scores of volunteersKudos to the scores of runners who go door-to-door collecting the food. It’s a lot. And they are exhausted by the end of the evening.

Kudos to the drivers, who embark on about 60 routes through Bracebridge. Once their vehicles are full or their routes are finished, they head to the Bracebridge Fairgrounds to unload.

Volunteers sorting food at the fairgrounds

Kudos to the scores of unpackers and sorters who are waiting for them at the Fairground. They come from every corner of our community. They quickly unload thousands of pounds of food and sort it.

If We Missed You

We try our best but there’s a lot going on on Food Drive night. If we missed your home, our apologies! You can either email us at info@mannafoodbank.ca to arrange a pick-up, or drop your donation at one of our year-round donation boxes, at YIGs, Food Basics, the Rec Centre or Town Hall.

Keep in touch! Please follow Manna on Facebook. We’ve got lots of pics from last night on there.
