Community gives generously for Christmas
Our community is really outdoing itself this holiday season in giving to those in need, and Manna is grateful to be among those recipients. Here are just a few local heroes.
- Giant Tiger of Gravenhurst has made a generous cash donation
- Morley Stevens in Port Carling has once again donated more than two dozen turkeys
- Muskoka Lakes Firefighters have made a generous cash donation
- Gagnon’s Your Indepenent Grocer in Bracebridge has donated more than two dozen turkeys, in addition to its sale of bags of groceries for the food bank
- The MNR has provided moose meat, professionally butchered and dressed
- Tim Horton’s in Bracebridge held a food drive
- Magicuts in Zellers held a food drive
- BDO in Bracebridge held a food drive
In recent months Manna began accepting donations on our website through PayPal and Canada Helps. E-donations are starting come in. Thank you for trying out the new system!
And whether it’s by way of our website, a coin in a Manna coin box at a local retailer, a cheque in the mail, or a food item or three, thank you all for your support! Last Christmas season Manna provided approximately 125 turkeys and 60 hams to local families, and we expect to do the same this year.
