Samuel Swam For Manna
This is a wonderful story about young Samuel Wood, who initiated a very successful ‘Will Swim For Food’ campaign with the residents of Muldrew Lake for Manna this summer.
Samuel, a member of the Orangeville Otters Swim Club, was inspired by his friend Ryan Hann, who organized successful ‘Will Swim For Food’ campaign in which he swam 5km a day in return for food bank donations in Orangeville.
Being a Muldrew Lake Cottager, Samuel decided that he would do a ‘Will Swim For Food’ campaign here in Muskoka, with the Manna Food Bank as the fortunate recipient.
‘Will Swim For Food’ was a huge success, with Samuel raising $1,250. and over 100 pounds of food with the support of the very generous Muldrew Lake community.
Samuel’s initiative was covered by CTV Barrie, Moose FM and MetroRegion.com.
Thank you again, Samuel!
