Teens collect food and cash from cottagers

The Manna Food Bank commends Sarah and Thomas Whittaker, Toronto teens who took the initiative late in the summer by asking cottagers to whom they delivered newspapers by boat on Lake Rosseau to make a donation to the Manna Food Bank.

Timing is everything

It was a win-win, as cottagers were preparing to close up for the summer, and quite a few were only too happy to pass along unused groceries rather than cart them back to the city.

The Whittakers collected several boxes of food and hundreds of dollars in cash for Manna.
