Volunteer Application

Thank you for your expressed interest in volunteering your time with the Manna Food Bank. What follows is a general outline as to how the Food Bank operates.

Client orders are submitted either online or via telephone and printed at the Manna office.

• We have a remote team with 4 members who are responsible for taking orders from our clients online and by telephone.

• There are Stocking Teams who volunteer on Mondays and Thursdays to ensure the shelves at Manna are replenished.

• The Food Bank is open for order pick up on Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Fridays from 11:00 am to 4:00pm.

• We have 8 teams for the afternoon shifts, composed of packers an interviewer and a team lead.

• Each team works a three - four hour shift every 4 weeks. The Tuesday 4pm to 6pm shift is manned by a separate team of 2 people. We also have a substitute volunteer list as not everyone can commit to a set schedule due to other obligations.

Should you decide to join our Team, you will be required to complete a Volunteer Application, Oath of Confidentiality, and a Police Check (completed online). As the health of our volunteers is paramount to Manna, we would also require you to be fully vaccinated with proof provided.
